To help them become more critical and tolerant;
To encourage them to be more observant of what they see around them and help them to see how the environment can help historians to build up a picture of the past,
To help them develop social skillls through project and group work
Raising self-esteem
"Self esteem is a pivotal point between success and failure. it has a profound effect on
learning". At De La Salle High School we realise this and strive to ensure that children
are happy , content and productive.
Homework is an integral and coordinated element of the Departments
assessment policy and practice. Homeworks are set regulary and tasks are
varied and useful. These take the form of set questions, factual essays,
empathy essays, drawings,the taking of notes from a prescribed text,
recording place names, etc. Pupils write homework into their dairies at the
end of each class.

These educational visits help to develop the good relationships that exist between the teachers and pupils. they also develop a strong sense of loyalty to the school and its beliefs.
